The SuriaFM announcer will be moving on to host a sports-oriented programme.
SuriaFM announcer Halim Othman will no longer be hosting Ceria Pagi with Adibah Noor (weekdays, 5am to 10am).
But do not fret! Listeners will still be able to listen to Halim on the sports-themed show, Grandstand Suria (weekends, 6am to 10am).
“It has always been my plan to host a show that is sports-oriented. After being in the industry for over 15 years, I believe it is time for me to pursue my passion. And hosting a sports show has been one of my many interests,” says the 50-year-old who is best known for hosting Roda Impian.
Joined by Naim Tahak, Grandstand Suria keeps listeners abreast with the latest news in the sports industry besides featuring exclusive interviews with athletes and sports personalities.
SuriaFM programme manager Adiwati explains the move: “It all started early this year when we were looking for the right person to pair up with Naim on Grandstand Suria. Halim approached us with some ideas and he also expressed his interest in hosting the show with him. He has the experience, personality and more importantly, share a chemistry with Naim.”
“I am anxious as I am still green when it comes to hosting a show that is sports based. But I am excited to try. I would like to thank my listeners and SuriaFM for their support and embracing this change,” adds Halim.
As for who will replace Halim on Ceria Pagi, listeners will just have to keep an ear out.
