James Morgan, husband of NYPD Blue alum Kim Delaney, was reportedly arrested Sunday (Feb 8) night after no fewer than four 911 callers reported a family disturbance at their Los Angeles-area apartment complex.
Deputies raced to Marina Del Rey, where the couple lives, and arrested Morgan for obstructing or delaying a public officer, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department told TMZ. He was being held pending a Tuesday court appearance, TMZ reported.
Relations between the pair, who wed in 2022, have reportedly been bumpy.
Delaney tried to divorce Morgan six months after they married and asked for a restraining order against him, but neither of them showed up in court, so the order went nowhere, Deadline reported at the time.
Both the Emmy-winning actress and her husband have been arrested in the past on domestic-disturbance charges.
Last year Delaney was charged with felony assault for allegedly trying to run Morgan over with her car, but a prosecutor later declined to file charges, citing a lack of evidence.
Morgan was likewise absolved of charges for misdemeanour spousal battery in the same incident.
Delaney also has a 2002 arrest for driving under the influence and was sued in 2024 by a motorcyclist who said she hit him with her car and kept going.
The actress is known for her Emmy-winning turn as Detective Diane Russell on NYPD Blue, which she played as both a regular and a recurring character during its 11-season run, and as Jenny Gardner on All My Children.
She also starred as Lieut. Megan Donner on the first season of CSI: Miami. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
