Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh's illustrious career has seen her starring in movies and TV shows of various genres – from action packed (Tomorrow Never Dies, 1997) and sci-fi (Sunshine, 2007) to wuxia (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, 2000) and drama (Memoirs Of A Geisha, 2005).

But don't expect to see the Oscar winner in a horror flick. She steers clear of anything spooky.

In a recent interview with Huff Post UK, the 62-year-old was asked if there's a genre she would love to tackle next.

Rather than answering directly, Yeoh took a more roundabout approach.

"There's only one genre that I wouldn't do, which deals with the supernatural," Yeoh told the entertainment site.

She was quick to point out that she's not afraid to watch scary movies, though.

"I love horror films, don't get me wrong. I will be the first to watch any horror movies. But I do not partake in the making of them.

"I believe in that kinda world. I am a Buddhist and we have a philosophy – if you walk into their realm, they are open to walk into yours.

"(I'm going to keep that door) firmly shut," added the actress who is currently starring in the new Star Trek film Section 31.
