Actor Along Cham files for 'taklik' divorce at Syariah Court, 9 months after marriage

Local actor-comedian Along Cham filed for "taklik" divorce against his wife, Afreena Suhaimi at the Syariah Court in Putrajaya on Tuesday (Jan 28).

According to sources, Along whose real name is Muhammad Nizamudin Ahmad, 41, arrived at the court at noon accompanied by his mother to file for the confirmation of the "taklik" divorce.

“Along Cham filed for divorce and the confirmation of a "taklik" pronouncement at the Syariah Court in Putrajaya today,” said the source.

Along and Afreena, 32, were married on April 4, 2024, after he had been single for eight years.

Previously, Along was married to former Akademi Fantasia Season 4 star Zila Seeron, 35.

They tied the knot on January 23, 2010, but their marriage ended on August 13, 2016.

They have a son, Ahmad Daniel Muhammad Nizamudin, who is now 14 years old.

In a separate incident, the Tiada Tajuk actor performed a prostration of gratitude in the defendant’s dock on Monday (Jan 27) after the Sessions Court granted him a discharge not amounting to an acquittal (DNAA) on a charge related to possessing suspected cannabis.

Along was also brought before the Magistrate’s Court on two other charges involving drug possession and use. The judge set bail at RM5,000 pending trial. – Sinar Daily
