Actress Nina Dobrev is recovering in a hospital after she was injured in a bike crash.

The 35-year-old Vampire Diaries star shared two Instagram photos on Monday with the caption “how it started vs. how it’s going.”

In the first photo, Dobrev sits atop a black motorbike on an empty street. In the followup, she lies on a hospital gurney in a gown with visible injuries, an IV in her arm, an immobiliser knee brace on her left leg and a neck brace.

In her Instagram story, she offered some additional information.

“I’m ok but it’s going to be a long road of recovery ahead,” she said.

The story also included a frowning selfie taken in the hospital bed.

Dobrev did not provide any other information about what led to her hospital trip.

Her boyfriend, Olympic snowboarder Shaun White, poked some fun at the situation in the post’s comments section.

“Just keeping things on brand,” he wrote, including a heart emoji.

White told Us Weekly earlier this month he and Dobrev had been doing a lot of international travel since he retired from competition in 2022. The two were planning to attend the upcoming Summer Olympics in Paris, but it’s unclear if Dobrev’s injuries could prevent that.

In previous interviews, both White and Dobrev have talked about enjoying the great outdoors, together with many snapshots of those activities shared on social media. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
