Britney Spears has had a change of heart when it comes to her ex, Justin Timberlake.

The Oops!... I Did It Again singer has revealed that she is “in love” with Timberlake’s latest song and is expressing remorse about how some of the things she shared about their relationship in her bombshell memoir.

“I am in love with Justin Timberlake’s new song Selfish,” Spears wrote on Instagram Sunday (Jan 28) night.

The former *NSYNC singer released his first new solo music in six years on Jan 26.

The track quickly catapulted to the No.1 spot on the US iTunes chart but was usurped a day later by Spears’ fans, who bolstered her 2011 song of the same name, which appeared on the deluxe edition of her Femme Fatale album.

Timberlake has been on the comeback trail with high-profile media appearances and the announcement of a world tour. He faced heavy criticism from ardent supporters of Spears after her autobiography hit shelves.

In the Woman In Me, Spears says she had an abortion during her rocky romance with the Cry Me A River singer and also accused him of cheating. The pop music power couple dated from 1999 to 2002.

“I wanna apologise for some of the things I wrote about in my book,” the 42-year-old wrote on Instagram. “If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about I am deeply sorry.”

Publisher Penguin Random House announced that the attention-grabbing memoir sold a whopping 1.1 million copies in its first week across multiple formats in the United States. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
