Taiwanese singer Wakin Chau to perform in KL on Sept 9

After a five-year hiatus, popular Taiwanese artiste Wakin Chau is set to entertain fans in Malaysia with a one-night concert at Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur on Sept 9 at 8pm.

The concert will see Chau reflecting on his remarkable 37-year musical journey.

The show is designed to unfold dual themes, with the first part showcasing popular movie soundtracks by the Mandopop star in the 1990s infused with renewed vitality.

Meanwhile, the second part invites fans to revel in the 62-year-old’s beloved tunes as well as the fresh interpretations and compositions to these songs.

Known for his soulful voice, Chau has released more than 40 albums in Mandarin, Cantonese and English since 1985.

Among his best-selling albums include You Make Me Happy And Sad, The Flowery Heart, Music Brings Us Together and Emil & Friends which have all won awards in Taiwan, Mainland China, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Tickets for Chau’s upcoming KL show are priced from RM288 to RM868 and will go on sale at www.starplanet.com.my on June 16 from 2pm.
