Actress Anne Heche had trace amounts of cocaine in her system but was not impaired when she crashed her car into a Los Angeles home, according to an autopsy report released Tuesday.

Heche, 53, died days after the fiery Aug 5 accident in which she slammed her Mini Cooper into a Los Angeles house.

Her autopsy detected only trace amounts of cocaine and no alcohol, Rolling Stone reported.

“There was no evidence of impairment by illicit substances at the time of the crash,” a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County coroner told the outlet.

Heche’s cause and manner of death were also confirmed in the autopsy. She died from smoke inhalation and thermal injuries, and her death was ruled an accident.

The autopsy also found evidence of Heche’s marijuana use, but it was “consistent with prior use” according to the coroner. Fentanyl found in Heche’s system had been administered at the hospital to treat her pain.

The actress – known for roles in Donnie Brasco, Six Days, Seven Nights and other films – was trapped in her car for as long as 45 minutes as the fire raged around her. She suffered burns on about 40% of her body.

Before driving into the home in Mar Vista, she also crashed into a nearby apartment complex, but drove away from that scene. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
