Are things still toxic?

Britney Spears used her 41st birthday Friday (Dec 2) as an opportunity to send a tender message to baby sister Jamie Lynn, just months after calling her out for her alleged role in the Toxic singer’s oppressive conservatorship.

“It’s my b-day but you’re my heart so I’m thinking about you,” Britney captioned two photos of Jamie Lynn on Instagram.

“Congratulations on being so brave, inspiring, and showing guts and glory in your show!!!” You ain’t alone... if anybody knows what that feels like... I get it... My baby sister !!! I love you !!!”

Britney’s loving post was a surprising about-face from a year ago, when she slammed her family and referred to Jamie Lynn, 31, as “scum” weeks after the November 2021 termination of a conservatorship that left her under dad Jamie Spears’ thumb for nearly 14 years.

In January, Jamie Lynn defended herself against critics who said she could have done more to help her big sister, telling People at the time she “only ever tried to be helpful”.

Britney quickly called out her “scum” sister – and the rest of her family – for having “ruined my dreams,” noting that they did “try to make me look like the crazy one”.

“My family loves to pull me down and hurt me, always, so I am disgusted with them!!!!” she said on the heels of Jamie Lynn’s remarks.

The siblings’ feud intensified when Britney sent a cease-and-desist letter to Jamie Lynn, demanding she stop “referencing Britney derogatorily” while promoting the latter’s book, Things I Should Have Said. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
