Several movie studios pausing big theatrical releases in Russia over Ukraine

The Walt Disney Company says it is halting the release of theatrical films in Russia over the Ukraine situation, becoming the first Hollywood studio to make such a move.

"Given the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine and the tragic humanitarian crisis, we are pausing the release of theatrical films in Russia, including the upcoming Turning Red from Pixar," Disney said in a statement posted on its official Twitter page on Monday (Feb 28), reported Sputnik.
