Taiwanese singer Vivian Hsu held her first concert in 15 years on Oct 27, 2020.
The Mandopop artist was the host of the hour-long V Live Showcase, held at Taipei's NUZONE Exhibition Hall, which was made available on Facebook as well for the benefit of the global audience.
Hsu, who made her first appearance in the music scene 30 years ago, has just released a new album titled I'm V. The name of the album is a shorthand for "I'm Vivian".
Out in September, I'm V includes 15 of Hsu's greatest hits and five new songs, that reflect on the singer-actress’ past experiences and aspirations for the future.
During the live show, Hsu performed new songs including InVincible and Alright, as well as her older hits like Smiling Eyes and Goodbye.
In a press statement, it said that the 45-year-old got emotional while singing the older tunes on stage.
She’s quoted: “Singing these classic songs is like flipping through an old diary full of memories. I can't help but remember the faces of all those who have helped me at every stage of my journey."
During the concert, Hsu thanked her fans, saying: "The hardest part of this concert isn't the preparation process or the physical training.
“It's the realisation that my fans have been around for 30 years. I can't help but cry thinking about how loyal and perseverant you all are."
