Malaysian singer TR Chen hopes to see his work on the upcoming crowdsourced documentary Life In A Day, directed by Kevin Macdonald (The Last King Of Scotland) and executive produced by Ridley Scott (Gladiator, The Martian).
The documentary was announced last month, encouraging people from all over the world to record their lives in lockdown on July 25.
Life In A Day aims to provide the future generation with a snapshot of what life was like during the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic.
Chen – who has won Best Charity Song in China’s 11th China Music Awards – was among those who submitted his footage.
"He hopes the film's producers would use his segment as an inspiration for others to forge new lives and destinies in this new normal," read a press statement announcing his participation in the documentary.
Life In A Day will be screened in 2021's Sundance Film Festival and be made available on YouTube.
Previously, in 2010, Macdonald and Scott teamed up for a similar project, inviting people to submit footage from their lives on July 24,2010.
The documentary was released on YouTube in 2011, and has since garnered 17 million views.
