The National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (Finas) is making amendments to the Skim Wajib Tayang (Compulsory Screening Scheme), which includes having distributors provide movie revenue collection to film producers.
Finas chief executive officer Ahmad Idham Ahmad Nadzri said this was necessary because the distributors' role in expediting the payment to film producers was currently beyond its jurisdiction.
