In conjunction with its upcoming third anniversary celebration, dimsum will hold its first ever Thai Pop 2019 Music Showcase, featuring nine Thai artistes.
The show – supported by Royal Thai Embassy, Kuala Lumpur – will be held on Nov 10, 6pm, at IDEAL Convention Centre, Shah Alam.
Headlining the show is Sunny Suwanmethanont, a Thai-French movie star best known for his role in Dear Dakanda (2005), which won him the Best Actor award at Thailand’s 3rd Kom Chad Luek Awards in 2006.
Sunny’s more recent box-office hit movies are I Fine Thank You… Love You (2014), Heart Attack (2015) and Brother Of The Year (2018).
This year, Sunny reunites with his Heart Attack co-star Mai Davika Hoorne in the medical romance drama My Ambulance, which has just premiered on dimsum.
He will be accompanied at the show by four members of 9BY9: Tor Thanapob Leeratanakachorn, Jaylerr Kritssanapoom Pibulsonggram, Captain Chonlathorn Kongyingyong and Ice Paris Intarakomalyasut.
9BY9 is a nine-member Thai boy group, which made its debut in 2018 and is best known for its members being featured together in the drama In Family We Trust (2018).
Other Thai artistes to perform at the event include the cast members of Thai drama series My Ambulance: Sky Wongravee Nateetorn, Billkin Putthipong Assaratanakul, Thanaerng Kanyawee Songmuang and its theme singer Pearwah Nichaphat Chatchaipholrat.
Pearwah, who is known for her role in the drama Hormones The Series (2013-2015), duets with Ice Paris on the My Ambulance theme song, which has already notched 7.5 million views on YouTube.
Pre-sale tickets will be made available to dimsum subscribers on Sept 17 at noon via www.dimsum.asia or dimsum app, with special access to exclusive VVIP tickets.
Public ticket sale begins Sept 19 at noon from www.ticketcharge.com.my.
Tickets are priced at RM199 (PS1), RM299 (PS2), RM359 (PS3) and RM599 (VIP).
