For the past year, information on the new series Watchmen have been scarce with no word on when the show will debut.

Well mark your calendars because Watchmen premieres on Oct 21 at 9am on HBO GO and HBO (Astro Ch 411/ 431 HD). New episodes the following week (Nov 4 onwards) will air at 10 am. Or catch the repeat on the same day at 10pm.

Inspired by Alan Moore's groundbreaking 1986 graphic novel, the 10-episode series has a new spin by the show's executive producer Damon Lindelof (Lost, The Leftovers). The graphic novel was also made into a film in 2009 by Zack Snyder.

Watchmen is set an alternate history where masked vigilantes are treated as outlaws, and cops are forced to wear masks to protect their identities. How do you figure one from the other? According to one character in the trailer, you can't.

Watchmen stars Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Louis Gossett Jr, Frances Fisher, Jean Smart, Tom Mison, Don Johnson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Tim Blake Nelson.
