The Loudest Voice

These five new TV shows are hitting Malaysian shores this July:

The Loudest Voice

Based on the book, The Loudest Voice In The Room, the seven-part limited series follows the rise and fall of Roger Ailes, the founder of Fox News. In 2016, Ailes resigned from Fox News in the thick of sexual harassment accusations from multiple Fox News employees. He died the next year.

Russell Crowe, who plays Ailes, shares with Entertainment Tonight that transforming into the media figure took six hours on the make-up chair initially.

“I used to call it face jail,” Crowe says. “It wasn't fun at all. The first application took six hours, and over a seven-month period, we whittled it down to two-and-half [hours]. But still, it was a mental challenge to be faced every day.”

Besides Crowe, Sienna Miller, Naomi Watts and Seth MacFarlane also co-star.

Beginning July 1, The Loudest Voice airs every Monday at 11pm on FX HD (Astro Ch 726).

Two years have passed and Ning Zhi returns to the palace as a lady-in-waiting for the empress. Along the way, Ning Zhi and Wei Guang work together to derail the grand princess’s plan to usurp the throne. The 41-episode palace drama stars He Hongshan, Jeremy Tsui and Wayne Lai.
