One of Britain's hottest female pop artistes, Anne-Marie, will be holding her first-ever concert, in Kuala Lumpur July 22, Monday, 8PM at KL Live, Kuala Lumpur.
The 27-year-old Essex native’s career took off with the 2016 massive hit Rockabye, a collaborative project with Clean Bandit and Sean Paul has amassed 2.1 billion views on YouTube so far. She released breakthrough hit Alarm around the same time, followed by debut album Speak Your Mind in 2018, which featured hits like Alarm, Ciao Adios and Friends.
The artiste, whose full name is Anne-Marie Nicholson, chose 'Anne-Marie' as her stage name becasue it sounded 'unique'. "We were thinking of choosing a completely different name at first but decided that Anne-Marie was kinda unique and it was me," she said in an interview with StarLifestyle last year. "I didn’t want to have a different persona – I am the same on and off stage."
In the interview, the singer-songwriter, who’s known for her angry break-up songs, explained what drew her to the topic. “Because it’s what I’ve been through. I write about real experiences and I feel people relate to it because it happens a lot (unfortunately)," she said.
Titled Anne-Marie Live in Malaysia 2019 and presented by Lazada Malaysia, this will be the 28-year-old artiste's first ever concert in Malaysia.
This venture is first for Lazada in Malaysia, and concert goers can purchase tickets from the official Warner Music Malaysia Flagship store on LazMall.
