The monsoon season is here, and if you’re tired of getting caught in the rain or stuck in traffic, stay home and watch these five new shows that are arriving in November.

Homecoming

Julia Roberts has guest starred on TV shows before like Friends and Law & Order but Homecoming marks the movie star’s first-ever series regular role.

In the 10-episode psychological thriller, Roberts play a counsellor at a secret government facility, Heidi Bergman, who helps former soldiers transition back into civilian life.

But midway, something goes wrong during her stint there and she leaves the job. Homecoming uncovers her time at the facility and what led her to her resignation.

Homecoming is available on Prime Video.

Pure Intention

Millionaire CEO Orachun (Bie Sukrit) falls for nurse Karakade (Esther Supreeleela) while he receives treatment at a hospital she works in. Sounds like a Cinderella story? But there’s another man in the picture, Karakade’s childhood friend, Dr Nipit. Will Orachun and Karakade get their fairytale ending?

Pure Intention is available on dimsum.

House Of Cards Season Six

It’s the final season of House Of Cards and it’s the first time the show has gone on without Kevin Spacey, who has been fired following a long list of sexual assault allegations.

How has the show decided to kill off his character Frank Underwood? And does his wife, President Claire Underwood, have anything to do with it? Go on one last ride and get ready to say goodbye to the critically-acclaimed political drama for good.

House Of Cards Season Six is available on Netflix.

Grisse

A band of unlikely heroes come together to fight against the rule of a brutal governor. The next thing they know, they find themselves in control of Grisse, a Dutch garrison town. But defending and protecting Grisse won’t be easy. The HBO Asia production stars Adinia Wirasti, Marthino Lio, Edward Akbar and Malaysia’s Joanne Kam.

Grisse airs every Sunday at 9pm on HBO (Astro Ch 411).

Escape At Dannemora

On June 6, 2015, two convicted murderers at Clinton Correctional Facility escaped with the help of a female prison employee.

Witness how it all went down in this eight-episode retelling of the real-life incident. Starring Benicio Del Toro, Paul Dano and Patricia Arquette.

Escape At Dannemora premieres Nov 19, midnight, on FX HD (Astro Ch 726).
