Malaysian Syafeek Ikhwan wins singing competition in France

Malaysian Syafeek Ikhwan, 30, is crowned grand champion in the solo category of i-SiNG World Finals held in Paris, France recently.

He rendered Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza’s Kau Kekasihku in the finals and, Frank Sinatra’s My Way in the semi-finals. Syafeek from Puncak Alam, Selangor works as an education officer in The Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam).

i-SiNG gathers aspiring singers from the world and offers them a platform to showcase their vocal talent and prowess. This year, i-SiNG featured participants from more than 30 countries.

This is the second edition of i-SiNG; the inaugural competition was held in Yangon, Myanmar from Sept 29-Oct 1 last year.
