Popular series from the 2000s ‘Roswell’ is given a reboot

The CW has ordered a pilot for a rebooted version of the series inspired by Melinda Metz’s Roswell High novels. A remake of Roswell will follow a young woman whose parents settled in the United States without the required paperwork.

Returning to her hometown of Roswell as a young adult, she finds that her teenage crush has become a police officer. More than that, he too is of alien stock – but his parents are not just from another country but another planet entirely. Yet, as she decides to help him keep his identity secret, the presence of numerous extraterrestrials attracts the attention of a wide-ranging FBI investigation, which puts the two lead characters’ relationship in jeopardy.
