Jonghyun’s posthumous album is a hit on YouTube

Jonghyun's final album Poet | Artist has just been released posthumously, and it has already gone viral.

The music video for the title track Shinin’ was released on Jan 22, and racked up more than three million views within a day. As of writing, it has already surpassed five million views.

Jonghyun’s final solo album was released digitally on Jan 23 along with a special music video, and the physical copy was released on Jan 24 via SHINee’s label SM Entertainment. All proceeds from the sale of Jonghyun’s album will be given to his mother and be used to set up a charitable foundation to reach out to those who are in need of help.

The 27-year-old frontman of South Korean boyband SHINee had been working on his second solo album when he passed away last month. He was found unconscious on Dec 18 in his rented apartment in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul, and declared dead upon arrival at the hospital. Police has  since confirmed that his death was a suicide.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that the remaining four members of SHINee will carry on with SHINee World The Best 2018 - From Now On tour in Japan next month.
