Lee Chong Wei
The former world No. 1 men’s singles shuttler Datuk Wira Lee Chong Wei is used to smashing records at the court. Soon, he may be breaking records in the entertainment arena, too. Lee, whose life will be captured in an eponymous biopic out March 15, will host a premiere of the film on March 9 at Bukit Jalil National Stadium.
Expecting to draw a staggering 30,000 crowd, the event is set to enter the Malaysia Book Of Records for the biggest movie gala. Besides a screening of the film (on a giant LED screen!), the premiere will also feature a red carpet event, lucky draw rounds and a theme song performance. Details on how to score tickets to the premiere night has yet to be announced.
