Konsert 5 Divo brings together five talented musicians from three different countries on one stage symbolising regional harmony.

Singapore Idol season one winner Taufik Batisah, Indonesian singer Afgan, Indonesian Idol runner-up Judika and the winners of Akademi Fantasia Seasons Seven and Nine, Hafiz and Hazama respectively, are the five artistes who will be performing at Stadium Malawati, Shah Alam on Feb 13 in the concert.

The concert will feature a 50-piece orchestra led by Datuk Ramli MS.

“I was a little worried at first (about ticket sales), as it is the beginning of the year. But the good thing about using musicians who are popular in their respective countries is that we are attracting fans from all these countries as well as Malaysia,” said Dafi, director of concert organiser LOL Entertainment, at a press conference in Kuala Lumpur last week.

The five artistes will be performing about four to five songs individually and also a series of duets and medleys.

“There will also be one or two songs which all five of them will be performing together, and quite frankly I’m excited for it too,” said Dafi, who was a contestant on reality talent competition Akademi Fantasia Season Five.

Both Hazama and Afgan, who were also present at the press conference, said they are excited as this is their first big concert.

“I hope this concert turns out to be one of the biggest local events of the year,” said Hazama.

There is also an online contest where fans can post a 15-second-long video about their understanding of love, the theme of the concert, with the hashtag #5Divo and #Konsert5Divo. The best entries will win tickets to the show.
