Chinese martial arts novelist Jin Yong visited a tropical rain forest in Sibu, Sarawak on invitation by Hong Kong newspaper Ming Pao chairman Tiong Hiew King in 1997.

After attending the literary seminar organised by Sin Chew Daily in Kuala Lumpur, Louis Cha, whose pen name was Jin Yong, was accompanied by Tiong - who also owned Sin Chew Daily - to fly to Sarawak.
