Lovesickness is no laughing matter; Persian polymath Avicenna (also known as Ibn Sina) considered it a mental illness, a point noted in the illustrated compendium of The Wonders Of Creation And The Oddities Of Existence.

Most people would be familiar with The Hippocratic Oath, one of the earlier expression of medical ethics. It is mentioned in one of the manuscripts in this exhibition, titled Explanation Of Human Anatomy (Al-Bayan fi Tashrih al-Abdan)
