The Armistice of Nov 11, 1918, brought peace to Europe. The truce signed by Britain, France and Germany was designed to end WWI (1914-1918) and all future wars. Sadly, history knows this did not come true.
But the Armistice is still a reminder of how war should be avoided at all cost. In Nov 2018, it will be 100 years since the guns of WWI fell silent. There'll be no shortage of events to commemorate this historic day.
