Three years after its last issue was published, Marvel Comics’ First Family, the Fantastic Four, will be making a comeback with a new ongoing series!

Yes, fans will finally get to see Mr Fantastic, Invisible Woman, The Thing, and Human Torch back together again.

After the universe-altering events of Secret Wars, the team had been divided into two. Reed and Sue Richards and their kids went off to repair some of the damage that the multiverse had suffered during the event, while Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm have been doing the rounds on other teams, including the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Inhumans’ Secret Warriors, and the Avengers.

Marvel recently announced that the Fantastic Four will finally be getting its own ongoing series once more in August. Written by Dan Slott (known for his long stint on The Amazing Spider-Man) with art by Sara Pichelli (Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Men), it should be interesting to see these two superstar creators’ interpretation of the Fantastic Four.

With the Fantastic Four potentially turning up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the future thanks to Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox, this is as good a time as ever to revive interest in the team of superheroes that kick-started Marvel’s superhero success all the way back in 1961.
