It's no fun to sketch alone in the big city. It’s better – and safer – to sketch in a group. Yong Li Yun, 52, a former illustrator-turned-artist, who took to Facebook and founded Sketchwalk Kuala Lumpur (SKL) three years ago, will vouch for that.

Yong has proudly built up a community of sketch artists, who band together regularly to draw. “We’ve have about 10 active sketchers who turn up for our activities. Sometimes, we get a larger group of 20 to 30 people,” says Yong in a recent interview.
