Harry Potter fans, here are 3 new stories for you!

Harry Potter fans, rejoice! Three new e-books on Hogwarts, the famed school in the beloved Harry Potter series, will be released on Sept 6 this year.

The trio of books, known collectively as Pottermore Presents, were announced on Aug 17 onPottermore.com, the global digital publisher of Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World.

The books will include Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling’s writings on Pottermore, as well as brand new work from her.

“Pottermore Presents is a series of bite-sized e-books that dig deep into the Harry Potter stories, with tidbits taken from Pottermore’s archives and original writing from J.K. Rowling. The series offers Harry Potter fans added insights into the stories, settings and characters and were all lovingly curated by Pottermore,” the announcement on Pottermore said.

The first book, Hogwarts: An Incomplete And Unreliable Guide, explores the background of the beloved wizarding school, unfurling everything from details about the Hogwarts ghosts, to what happens when the Sorting Hat can’t decide on a student’s house.

The second, Short Stories From Hogwarts Of Power, Politics And Pesky Poltergeists, explores the darker roots of the wizarding world. Readers will learn more about the troubles that faced the Ministry of Magic, the horrors of the Azkaban prison, and enjoy an new original piece of writing by Rowling on Horace Slughorn.

Finally, in Short Stories From Hogwarts Of Heroism, Hardship And Dangerous Hobbies, the colourful staff of Hogwarts are celebrated. The book contains information on Care of Magical Creatures teacher Silvanus Kettleburn, as well as a new piece from Rowling on Minerva McGonagall and her involvement in the second wizarding war.

Pottermore Presents feature covers designed by powerhouse designing duo Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima (otherwise known as MinaLima), who were the graphic design team behind the artwork of the Harry Potter films.

The books are expected to cost US$3 (about RM11.99) and be about 10,000 words each. Each can be purchased from a wide range of digital e-book retailers around the world, or directly from the Pottermore website. They are currently available for pre-order.
