Darren Siegel and his wife, Jennifer Cox-Siegel, knew nothing about the Sauer Buildings Historic District when they drove up Center Avenue in Aspinwall, a borough in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area, Pennsylvania. But the house at 615 Center Ave caught their eye.
“We thought it would be great if it went up for sale. Then it did. We saw it the first day it became available and put in an offer,” he says.
