Keeping theatre alive

MALACCA: Advocating to keep English language theatre and stage play productions alive while assisting young people to improve speech command and delivery, the 1985-established Malacca Theatre Group (MTG) is still steadfast with its core role with much enthusiasm and zeal.

Except for a four-year hiatus (2006-2009), the MTG has since come out of “cold storage” more fervently with the staging of excerpts from Shakespearian plays, short stage plays, drama workshops, public speaking competitions, recruitment of fresh stage talents, organised performances by Kuala Lumpur’s Actors’ Studio for the benefit of the local performing arts public, secondary schools and college students.
