As guilty as it might make us feel, we should give ourselves permission to abandon books we don’t enjoy.
As a book lover (snob?), there is one thing that really bothers me. Something that weighs on my mind even more than cracked book spines, covers damaged by cheap price-sticker glue, or folded pages to hold a place in a book (for goodness’ sake, get a bookmark!) – and that is the unfinished book.
