2014 Costa Book Award winners announced


This year’s Costa Book Award winners are a diverse lot.

Ali Smith and Helen Macdonald were among the winning authors at Britain’s 2014 Costa Book Awards, which were announced on Jan 5. The awards, which honour five writers in different categories, comes with a prize of £5,000 (RM27,102) each, and are open to solely to authors residing in Britain and Ireland. The five category winners will then compete for Costa Book Of The Year Award, which will be announced on Jan 27.
