Review: Micro Malaysians!

Micro Malaysians! is a collection of 100 stories, with each story occupying one to two pages. The illustrations by Caryn Koh are intriguing. While some enhance the accompanying stories, others seem to be randomly placed and are not connected at all, I feel.

I found reading a collection of micro-fictions of uneven quality and style harder than reading a collection of short stories with the same issues. These tales did not flow smoothly. The switch between stories was too frequent, and the tempo and writing were so different that I felt as though I had changed books several times throughout my reading experience.
