It sometimes feels like we’re living in an age of nostalgia, where the most of our entertainment is a remake, reboot or revisit of material we’ve known and loved before. Commercial interests are of course a large reason for this – tapping into an already existing fandom means a certain amount of financial gain is already assured.
So given the immense success of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter books (not to mention the movie adaptations), it almost seemed inevitable that the series would be revisited by the author at some point.
