When matches are not made in heaven

I’M writing this week’s column with a heavy heart after making this discovery: due to marriages breaking down, there is a growing number of single women and single mothers in this country. I realised this after sifting through the more than 11,500 e-mails and calls I have received from readers over the course of three years since this column began and noticing that most are laments about marital problems.
