TJJ Hatch-A-Hawksbill Jumble Sale for Turtle Conservation
June 25 & 26 TJJ E-Adventure, an organisation which promotes opportunities for young people to participate in outdoor activities and conservation projects, is organising a charity jumble sale from 10am-5pm to raise funds for a community-based turtle conservation project based at Padang Kemunting, Malacca.
Proceeds will go towards the establishment and operation of a volunteer programme to assist in on-going turtle conservation activities at the site.
Items on sale include second-hand home appliances, bags, shoes, books/magazines, accessories, toys, trinkets and computer parts.

Human Values Debate
This debate aims to promote the practice of human values. Organised by the Sathya Sai Baba Centres of Perak, it is open to all university, college and sixth-form students in Perak between the ages of 18 and 25. There is no participation fee. The debate will be conducted in English and will use the Australasian format.
Competition begins in the first week of July, with the Grand Finals on July 10. There are monetary prizes, a challenge shield and certificates to be won.
Conditions of participation: all participants will have to join in a one-day service project at the Handicapped Children’s Home, Batu Gajah on July 3. Participants from each debating team must also represent at least two of the major ethnic groups in Malaysia.

France takes centrestage at the fourth edition of this month-long festival, which showcases the latest trends on the French art scene by award-winning and critically acclaimed French artists, photographers, musicians and film-makers. Events happening this week include:
