Xin-tillating spread of festive specialties for Year of the Horse

Gather family, friends and business associates to celebrate Chinese New Year over an exquisite selection of traditional favourites and refined festive specialties.

At Xin Cuisine Chinese restaurant, Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur, its festive menu for the Year of the Horse is available for lunch and dinner until March 3.

Begin the festivities by tossing to prosperity and happiness with a platter of yee sang.

There is an array of premium options inclu­ding jellyfish, Atlantic salmon, and abalone to choose from. Alternatively, there is the restaurant’s signature Fresh Fruit Yee Sang.

Each creation is meticulously prepared to achieve a harmonious balance of flavours and textures, symbolising abundance and good fortune for the year ahead.

Prices range from RM108nett to RM208nett per order, available as regular or large portions.

The three Lunar New Year set menus are Abundance (RM1,888nett), Fortune (RM2,288nett) and Prosperous (RM2,488nett).

As the highlight of the season, the Prosperous set presents the most comprehensive festive spread, showcasing premium festive favourites.

It includes Atlantic Salmon Yee Sang with Snow Pear, Harmonious Duo of Spanish Iberico Pork Ribs and Imperial-Style Chicken, Steamed Marble Goby (Soon Hock) in Hong Kong Style, Wok-tossed Sea Prawns with Fragrant Superior Sauce as well as Imperial Sea Treasures of Braised Abalone, Sea Cucumber and Conpoy with Broccoli.

The Abundance (RM1,888nett) and Fortune (RM2,288nett) set menus are not available on Feb 16, the eve of Chinese New Year.

Guests may pick a selection of festive Chinese New Year specialties, including Signature Braised Pork Knuckle, Nostalgic Homestyle Steamed Dragon Grouper Loong Fu and Braised Oyster Fortune and Dried Seafood.

Sweet delights such as Crispy Fried Golden Pumpkin Glutinous Rice Served with Vanilla Ice Cream, Chilled Yam Puree with Sago along with other traditional lunar desserts are options with which to end the meal.

As for Xin Cuisine’s premium waxed meat delicacies, diners may choose from Steamed Fra­grant Fried Rice with Premium Waxed Meat or Golden Prosperity Claypot Rice with Premium Waxed Meat offering rich, savoury flavours that perfectly capture the spirit of the festive season.

Prices range from RM88nett to RM168nett per order. They are available in small, regular or large portions.

The luxurious poon choi, perfect for sharing, is layered with premium ingredients including whole 10-head abalone, sea cucumber, sea prawn, dried scallop, dried oyster, fish maw, roast duck and roast pork.

Available for dine-in or takeaway, the poon choi is priced at RM988nett (10-person portion) and RM588nett (six-person portion).

Xin Cuisine is closed on Feb 17 and will reopen on the second day of Chinese New Year.
