ANY good celebratory meal invites diners to indulge and linger, whether it is just two people or a lively gathering of family and friends.

It is this spirit of togetherness that The RuMa Hotel and Residences, Kuala Lumpur, hopes to foster throughout the Christmas-New Year season.

At the heart of the festivities is Atas, the hotel’s restaurant known for its inventive menus that reinterpret local flavours.

From curated set menus to generous buffet spreads, there is something for everyone.

A highlight of the festive buffet is the impressive selection of fresh seafood like king crab, oyster and tiger prawns.

The best way to enjoy them is hands-on – cracking, peeling and savouring each piece with a variety of dipping sauces to complement their natural sweetness.

Another good choice is the Seafood Paella abounding in slipper lobster, crab and mussels.

The rice absorbs their mild briny sweetness while the mussels are juicy and the crustaceans flavourful.

There is also a variety of canape to nibble on in between dishes, like Quiche Heirloom Tomato with Spinach and Feta, and Arancini Lobster with Charcoal Rice and Winter Truffle.
