Festive favourites on seasonal five-course menu in Chow Kit


REFINED Chinese New Year favourites are on offer at The Chow Kit – An Ormond Hotel for those who prefer a classic menu.

A seasonal five-course menu priced at RM188+ per person is being served at the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant The Chow Kit Kitchen and Bar.

To impress guests, start with the Golden Prosperity Yee Sang with local julienned fruits and vegetables as well as wild-caught smoked salmon.

Sweet potato, taro crisps, pomegranate and pistachios are also part of this dish that is topped with honey lemon dressing.

Diners can next enjoy the Crispy Jumbo Prawn with spicy sambal mayo.

This will be followed by the Abundance Longevity Noodles featuring yee mee, fresh crab meat and abalone slices in a braised abalone sauce.

There are two choices for a main dish.

The first is Claypot Braised Lamb Loin Rice with black mushrooms and bok choy.

A Grouper Fish Fillet dish served with young mango in a soy and vinegar dressing and paired with rice, is the second option.

To end the course on a high note, guests will be served Panna Cotta and Lucky Longan, a Chinese New Year favourite.

During the festive period, the Golden Prosperity Yee Sang and Abundance Longevity Noodles will also be featured in The Chow Kit Kitchen and Bar’s a la carte menu.

The yee sang platter is priced at RM88+ for a small portion (serves four persons) and RM128+ for a large portion (serves six persons).

An individual serving of Abundance Longevity Noodles is priced at RM68+.

The Chinese New Year festive menu is available until Feb 12.
