107 children from four orphanages treated to extensive spread in PJ

THIS Ramadan, Tropicana Golf & Country Resort (TGCR), a subsidiary of Tropicana Corporation Bhd, is offering an extensive spread for its buffet in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

There are over 200 dishes served nightly and 23 live cooking stations at the clubhouse, making it a memorable experience for guests.

Tropicana Foundation, the charity arm of Tropicana, co-hosted a buka puasa initiative with TGCR by inviting 107 children from four orphanages.

Children from Pusat Tahfiz Darus Syabab, Pusat Jagaan Cahaya Kasih, Rumah Sentuhan Budi and Pusat Jagaan Cahaya Kasih Bistari were treated to the buffet spread as well as given duit raya and goodies.

TGCR executive director Yew Kong Chee said, “Our popular buffet is made possible by the commitment and contributions of our team.

“This year, we invited children from four homes to buka puasa with us.

“This has been our practice for more than 10 years.”

The charitable initiatives are underscored by the foundation and TGCR’s commitment to uplift underprivileged segments with F&N, a newly inducted sponsor.

The buffet showcases signature dishes such as Nasi Lemak Pandan Bungkus, Nasi Kerabu with Condiments, Nasi Pulao Yogurt, Mutton Karahi, Daging Rogan Josh, Ayam Bakar Danok, Siakap Kukus Cili Limau, Thai Curry Seafood Otak, tapai pulut, churros and akok.

The buffet offers variety from local to international cuisine.

Until April 7, the Santapan 29 Malam – Selera Muhibbah experience is featuring ghazal performances and a kampung house.

TGCR has a new central surau and ample free parking bays with buggy shuttle services.

The buffet is available at RM70++ (children) and RM138++ (adults) for members.

For non-members, it is RM75++ (children) and RM158++ (adults).
