Brand introduces two smaller cakes with enriched flavours

THE Secret Recipe restaurant chain, known for its diverse range of cakes and other gourmet selections, has introduced two new offerings in its Platinum Collection.

The collection caters to more intimate celebrations and features smaller cakes with enriched flavours.

The two new options are the ever-popular Red Velvet Cake, previously available only in the Signature Collection; and Sweet Potato Cake, an entirely new offering.

The Red Velvet boasts 500g of “cheesylicious” flavour with refreshing hints of apricot. The cream cheese and apricot duo work beautifully together to create a fluffy indulgent choice.

Meanwhile, the Sweet Potato, slightly heavier than the Red Velvet at 680g, features a creamy sweet potato flavour complemented by purple sponge, cream cheese, coconut and white chocolate couverture.

Secret Recipe marketing head Evelyn Lee said, “The smaller size of these cakes has allowed us to experiment with different flavour and texture profiles.

“This is part of our commitment to evolve with the times and go beyond the ordinary to pamper our customers.

“We hope to announce even more new products down the line.

“Make sure to download the Secret Recipe MY app to keep up to speed with our latest offerings.”

The Red Velvet and Sweet Potato will be available as whole cakes in Secret Recipe’s Platinum Collection in all Secret Recipe stores throughout peninsular Malaysia.

The cakes are priced at RM78 (takeaway) and RM85.35 (dine-in).

Secret Recipe kicked off 2023 by opening its 350th outlet at 1 Utama in Petaling Jaya.

The chain has plans to increase the number to more than 400 by the end of 2025.
