Its Jazz Feast restaurant on Level 2 serves a three-course Cool Jazz! Our Executive Style Set Lunch from noon to 2.30pm every Sunday to Thursday.

Priced at only RM19.90, it offers Caesar Salad or soup of the day as the appetiser. For the main course, choose from a medley of eight items.

With comforting New Orleans-style soul food among the outlet’s forte, a notable one is the Fried Shrimp Po’boy, a traditional sandwich made with French bread.

Crispy Skin Fish Almondine with Citrus Caper Sauce is another tasty favourite from the American southeast. Otherwise, classic Fish and Chips hits all the right notes.

The Black Pepper Grilled Teriyaki Chicken with Seared Bananas and Oriental Chicken Chop are both crowd pleasers too, thanks to harmonious fusion flavours.

Meanwhile, the Prawn Aglio e Olio and vegetarian Al Pesto should resonate with all pasta lovers, as will the Salted Egg and Crabmeat Fried Rice to locals.

Dessert of the day completes the set. Top up RM5 for coffee or tea. With comfortable, music-inspired surroundings, the restaurant is a lovely place to dine with family, friends or colleagues.

Alternatively, try the Teishoku or Set Lunch at Kitano@Jazz – a Japanese outlet dishing up fresh and clean flavours located on the ground floor of the 255-room hotel in Tanjung Tokong.

Available from 11.30am and 2.30pm daily, they are priced from RM19 onwards and come with an array of different options to satisfy any craving.

The Gyoza Ramen Set will fill one up with a hearty bowl of noodles alongside dumplings and rice. Also recommended is the Tempura Tei with crispy battered prawns and vegetables with rice and other accompaniments.

Other options like the Chicken Piman Mayo Itame Tei, Chicken Teriyaki Tei, Saba Shioyaki Tei and Salmon Batayaki Tei similarly offer good value for money.

Those willing to splurge a little more can go for the Soft Shell Crab Karaage and Salmon Sashimi Set, Unagi Kabayaki and Sashimi Set, or the Beef Teppanyaki Set. Side dishes vary from set to set.
