COOKWARE maker Tefal launched the Thermo-Signal cookware which reinvents technology to help cooks cook better.

The Tefal’s Cook O’Clock event at Sogo Kuala Lumpur was also a platform for a cooking demonstration to showcase the new range.Thermo-Signal, which has two types of coating, comes with better homogeneity base.“Better homogeneity base feature optimum grids with high density stainless steel for better heat distribution and faster cooking time, ” said Groupe SEB Malaysia senior manager Nikki Lua at the event.

She said Thermo-Signal replaced the previous Thermal-Spot technology used by Tefal.

Groupe SEB Malaysia Sdn Bhd country manager Jack Wong said with Thermo-Signal, the red dot on the pan turns solid red upon reaching optimal cooking temperature of 180°C.

“Knowing the right steps to cooking is important in preparing food, ” he said.

“Upon reaching that temperature, it allows the food to be cooked to achieve optimum flavour, texture and nutritional value without having undercooked or overcooked a dish.”

Wong added that the new cookware was available in seven-product ranges, priced from RM79 to RM279 that cater to different cooking needs.

“Tefal pans use titanium coating that make aluminium stronger, and offer better resistance and durability, ” added Lua.

“The second coating on the pan surface which is mineralia coating helps enhance coating resistance.”

The Tefal cookware range is available at stores and hypermarkets across Malaysia. — By ANG ENG TAT
