High tea, dinner buffets with festive flavours


Enjoy festive dishes at the Christmas Eve buffet dinner at Melting Pot Cafe, Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

This year’s Christmas Eve buffet dinner at Melting Pot Cafe, Concorde Hotel offers a lavish meal for family and friends.

Among the available dishes are a Chinese cold platter, classic salmon gravlax with dill and citrus, fresh seafood, Beef Welling­ton served with potato gratin, root vegetables, black pepper sauce and Dijon mustard sauce.

Also on the festive table are duck confit with sauteed potatoes, red currant and juniper berries sauce, oven-baked green mussel jalapeno and tomato salsa.

There is also a Japanese corner with gyoza, a teppan theatre and braised trio mushroom with broccoli and beancurd sheets.

Other Asian dishes include pad thai and ayam masak merah.

A Western corner offers dishes like charcoal-grilled seabass fillet with citrus-butter sauce.

The buffet dinner on Dec 24 is priced at RM188nett per adult.

The Christmas Day buffet hi-tea features a large array of dishes, including creamy red cabbage coleslaw with apple, customisable salads with various dressings, green mussels, poached yabbies and poached tiger prawns and pasta prepared a la minute.

Asian dishes are Thai fried rice with crab meat, Indian chicken vindaloo, Asian-style noodles. Action stations are the teppan theatre and satay corner.

The Christmas Day buffet high tea on Dec 25 is priced at RM118nett per adult.

Meanwhile, the New Year’s Eve buffet dinner showcases a tantalising array of seafood, premium roasts and Asian-inspired dishes such as steamed whole seabass with black fungus, spring onion in supreme soy sauce, lamb briyani, Thai Pattaya fried rice, chicken tandoori and Madras chicken curry.

There is a counter for seafood on ice with oysters, black mussel, poached yabbies, tiger prawn and nipah crab.

From the grill are slow-roasted whole prime rib with black pepper brown sauce and grilled vegetables and whole lamb leg with mushroom and asparagus and Australian mini rib eye steak.

At the Japanese section are maki, California rolls, assorted sashimi – salmon, butter fish, tuna and octopus – in addition to pan-seared chicken gyoza.

Western dishes include mushroom risotto, pan-seared duck breast with orange butter sauce, baked salmon steak with garlic pesto sauce and moussaka.

The New Year’s Eve buffet dinner on Dec 31 is priced at RM188nett per adult.

The New Year’s Day buffet hi-tea offers seafood tom yam soup, chicken pasta salad, mango-­prawn salad, Chinese four seasons platter, roasted salmon puff pastry served with creamy cheese sauce, Dijon mustard and Salmon Wellington.

At the live teppan theatre, guests can choose fresh red snapper, salmon steak or prawns to be grilled.

The New Year’s Day buffet hi-tea on Jan 1 is priced at RM118nett per adult.

Hi-tea is served from 12.30pm to 4pm, while dinner is available from 6.30pm to 10pm.
