Breaking fast with signature dim sum delights

A spread of Dolly’s dim sum dishes and buka puasa specials suitable for the break of fast.

ENJOYING dim sum with loved ones is a wonderful way to celebrate the spirit of togetherness during breaking of fast.

It is also why restaurant group Dolly Dim Sum (Dolly) is serving Muslim-friendly versions of this Chinese classic throughout the fasting month.

Menu highlights include Moonlit Bao Bites featuring Shanghainese pan-fried sesame-laced buns stuffed with juicy black pepper chicken and Twilight Blue Pea Mocktail, a refreshing chilled mocktail of organic butterfly pea flower infused tea topped with orange and apple.

Diners can also enjoy Dolly’s signature dim sum such as Crystal Prawn Dumplings (har gau), Sichuan-style Dumplings, Baked Egg Tarts, Duck Spring Rolls, Scallop Steamed Rice Rolls and Egg Custard Buns.

With 12 branches located across the Klang Valley, Kuantan and Johor Baru, Dolly opened its latest restaurant at Suria KLCC earlier this year.

This flagship outlet is the chain’s largest and has a unique design.

Diners will find themselves transported into a tranquil courtyard of colonial charm and lush gardens decorated with birdcage shaped lanterns.

Also awaiting diners at the flagship are buka puasa specials that include Crab Belacan Fried Rice while Dolly’s other branches are serving up the chain’s signature Royal Golden Fried Rice, Crispy Egg Seafood Noodles, Salted Egg Prawns and Fried Radish Cakes.

For some sweet indulgence, there are Durian Mochi, Fried Sesame Peanut Balls and Iced Sea Coconut Soup.

The festive specials are available until April 9.

Dolly’s Suria KLCC restaurant is located at Lot 426-428, 4th Floor.
