WITH the Covid-19 pandemic situation now much better than it was a year ago, many families are yearning to have a smashing reunion feast for the upcoming Chinese New Year.
At Swiss Garden Beach Resort Kuantan, the culinary team which is supervised by Chinese chef Law Heng Weng has concocted an array of Oriental delights.
Food and beverage service manager K. Ramesh said the resort had prepared two festive food promotions to mark the joyous and meaningful occasion.
The Sou Kong package caters to business groups and private companies wishing to treat and reward their staff for a job well done over the past year.
As for the Reunion package, it is meant for family members to get together and look forward to prosperity and good health.
“Our culinary team has put together a host of appetising dishes to meet the needs of guests and walk-in diners.
“We hope to play a part in livening up the festive atmosphere and putting smiles back on faces after two years of hardship,” said Ramesh.
The Sou Kong menu comprises Seafood Soup, Lemon Chicken, Assam Prawn, Deep-fried Red Snapper with Thai Sauce, Hong Kong Kailan with Silver Anchovies, Yong Chow Fried Rice and dessert.
It is priced at RM888 for between eight to 10 persons.
The Reunion menu will include Smoked Salmon Yee Sang, Two Combinations, Seafood Soup, Mongolian Chicken, Butter Prawn, Red Snapper Nyonya-style, Sea Cucumber Vegetable Dish, Seafood Fried Rice and dessert.
This menu is priced at RM988. For a smaller group of five persons, the price is RM598.
There is also a must-have special dish promotion of yee sang with two choices in medium and large portions.
These are Smoked Salmon and Soft Shell Crab ranging from RM56 to RM98.
Resort director of sales and marketing Linda Evelyn Wong said the staff members were all geared up to welcome guests with merry festive decorations at the lobby.
“We look forward to an increased number of guests now that the economy is back on track and more people are going on local holidays,” she said.
