CRAVING classic American-style burgers? Well, Pasadena Burger & Coffee is now open at Plaza Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur.
The outlet, named after the Californian city that introduced the cheeseburger, has expanded its menu to coincide with the launch of its hybrid cafe.
The 1,100sq ft space features images of Pasadena landmarks like California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Old Town Pasadena and Colorado Boulevard.
First introduced as an online store in the city centre offering a delivery service, Pasadena Burger later emerged as a fleet of pop-up food trucks around urban neighbourhoods including Bangsar and Mont Kiara earlier this year.
At its physical outlet, Pasadena Burger now offers Grilled Chicken Burger and an option of muffin buns for its dipping burgers that are meant to be slathered in a cheese sauce.
There are now three variants of its signature fries — Cajun Cheese Fries, Habanero Chilli Queso Fries and Honey Cheese Fries.
Also new on the menu is California Milkshake.
If you need that caffeine hit, Pasadena’s baristas have you covered. Choose from the 10 coffee-based drinks such as cappuccino, latte and long black, that are made from a high-quality Italian roast.
The new eatery blends a cafe and a diner into a space for busy urbanites to unwind as they dine or sip coffee.
Cakes and pastries are also available.
There is a water refill station for cyclists and joggers who dine in, while bikers can access a special parking space nearby.
“Our beef burgers with the softest burger buns are based on an American recipe using 100% Australian beef, fully-imported ingredients and no MSG,” said Pasadena Burger founder Cornelius Lu.
“Even American expatriates have commented that our burgers remind them of home.
“We hope our first physical outlet can be a hideaway where one can sit comfortably and linger over a cup of coffee after enjoying a meal, any time of the day,” Lu added.
