Grilled beef sirloin is a filling option for those looking for a hearty meal.

CHANCING upon a place that serves big portions of food at an affordable price is always a welcome find.

This is why many people make a beeline for Joe’s Western Food Pasta stall at Mayang Oasis Food Court in Taman Mayang Jaya, Petaling Jaya.

Co-owners and friends Minn Khant, 34, (also known as Joe) and Wang Ming Taak, 30, have been operating their stall since 2012.“Western food is popular but can be pricey. That is why we decided to set up a stall selling Western food at an affordable price,” said Joe.

Wang said their main selling point was the affordable food hence the good response especially during peak hours.

Some of the popular dishes include grilled chicken chop served with French fries as well as the aglio olio (RM12.50), grilled salmon steak served with boiled potatoes and vegetables (RM19.50) and chicken maryland served with aglio olio and fries for RM13.

“We have gradually improved our dishes based on customer feedback.

“The quality and taste of our food has improved over the years, compared to when we first started.

“Remembering the orders of our regular customers is also easier now,” he said.

Wang added that diners were allowed to customise their dishes according to individual preferences.

“If they prefer vegetables over fries as their side dish for steak, we will accommodate their request,” he said.

Joe’s Western Food Pasta is open from 11am to 11pm, daily.

It is closed on Monday, once every two weeks.
