If you're a fan of Marvel superheroes or you love the Hulk, Wolverine or Thor, then this is a must-watch movie. The same goes for your kids.

There are two movies in this DVD – Thor lasts about 42 minutes and Wolverine is about 33 minutes.

It may seem like a strange premise – good guys fighting good guys, but that is the novelty that will make you want to watch. Aren't you dying to know how and why the Hulk would be fighting Wolverine or Thor?

I sure was.

In Hulk vs Wolverine, Hulk seemingly goes on a rampage, destroying everything in his path. Wolverine is called in to put an end to it.

Not understanding what's going on, Wolverine unknowingly provokes Bruce Banner and he turns into the Hulk.

The fight scene between the two sees Wolverine dig his claws into Hulk – these scenes are a bit gory, so you'll have to judge for yourself if this movie is suitable for the smaller kids.

Now, you're probably wondering what set off the Hulk in the first place and who the evil mastermind is.

Well, as it turns out, the mastermind is Professor with Team X – Sabretooth, Deathstrike, Omega Red and Deadpool. They intend to reprogramme the Hulk and use him for their own gain.

Wolverine tries fighting them but he needs Hulk's help. The problem is the Hulk isn't a fan of his. How will Wolverine get Hulk to work with him against Team X?

This movie is pretty straightforward. I didn't really find it all that intriguing; just a lot of raw energy and action.

The opposite is true for Hulk vs Thor – I would watch this one again and again. It tells of Asgard – one of the Nine Worlds – and how once every winter, Odin goes into Odinsleep. This leaves Asgard open to attacks from trolls, dark elves, giants and demons. They all seek to take control of the Nine Worlds.

It is up to Thor, with Lady Sif by his side, to fend off their attacks and protect Asgard.

All is well, until Thor's evil and power-crazy adopted brother Loki decides to bring the Hulk to Asgard. With the help of Amora, he separates the Hulk and Bruce Banner. Bruce ends up in the underworld Hel where he is happy to be reunited with his wife and son. Meanwhile, the Hulk is doomed to be used by Loki who now orchestrates his every move.

Loki gets the Hulk to attack Asgard and even comes close to killing Thor.

How will Thor save Asgard? Will Bruce be free of the Hulk? Will the Hulk remain forever in Asgard?

I found this movie very interesting – perhaps because the Thor legend and Asgard are so much richer in story and undercurrents of emotions (some side stories about Amora still being in love with Thor, despite helping Loki, and the hint of the Ragnarok – the end of days as they know it).

Plus, don't forget to watch the special features on the DVD for interviews with the animators, producers and voice cast.

If your child loves Marvel comics or superheroes, get this DVD. This is one DVD you can watch with your kids and, chances are, you will all enjoy it.
